MEDITATION
Learn meditation for a calmer life with more ease
TITAHI BAY COMMUNITY YOGA MEDITATION
Introduction to meditation - first class free
Once a month at Titahi Bay Community Yoga - Titahi Bay School hall.
Many of us want a calmer mind. We want our thoughts to be less destructive. We want to feel a little easier and happier, no matter what life throws at us.
Meditation isn’t about stopping your thoughts: the goal of meditation is not be affected so much by our thoughts, and to understand them a little more. In meditation we can notice our thoughts, give them a little hug (they are there to keep you safe), and focus on something else, often our breath. Again, and again, and again, until we get a little experience of something other than our stress-producing thoughts.
And meditation is an experience, not something to understand with your mind. If you want to be more peaceful, come and be more peaceful. You may begin a lovely shift.
Janie from BeCalmed Studio offers a free monthly class so you can learn some basic meditation techniques. She will also show you how to relax and to breathe in a way that calms you down.

The true purpose of meditation is to observe your thoughts so you can bring peace to every part of your life, on and off the mat. Quote: Yogi Amrit Desai.
