BeCalm Yourself 5-Week Series

BeCalm Yourself is a popular series of five beautiful, gentle, easy and relaxing classes to find the experience of calm. The effects of each class will ripple through your week. Plus, you’ll be supported to create your own home practice that you can use for life.

  • Includes gentle and supportive restorative yoga, yin yoga, breath work, and yoga nidra — giving your body a chance to heal and deeply rest.

  • Weekly extra support off the mat by way of audio and reading resources.

  • Maximum of four people in each session.

  • Bring one or two friends and create your own class at a time that suits.

Why do a series instead of casual classes? The benefits of these beautiful practices happen over time. You are more likely to get these benefits if you sign up for a series. It’s taken your lifetime to be you, so it’ll more than an hour to transform habits! Trust us - you will look forward to these classes all week.

EXTRA SUPPORT
These classes are fully supported with opportunities for discussion and practical and scientific information. Topics include good sleep, the relaxation response, the stress response, and awareness. You’ll receive guided audio for you to listen to after the class series. This audio includes an 8-stage Yoga Nidra guided meditation practice.

  • Relax the body to relax the mind. Simple and easy restorative and yin yoga postures, breathing practice, simple meditation, and Yoga Nidra. Find a little bit more comfort. Postures are adjusted to suit you.

  • The breath either moves us, rests us, or depowers us. One of the easiest ways to feel better is through the breath. By connecting the breath to our bodies and mind, we can begin to find our delicious inner calm.

  • When life is tough we hold so much tension. Just by finding ways to release tension (physical and mental) we can feel ourselves in a different place. To be and do more, sometimes we just need to still.

  • Let go of effort and flow through life a little different. Mentally rest and experience real moments of calm. You’ll take this imprint of calm with you because you retraining the brain to let go and rest.

  • Create your own lovely home practice. Choose elements of meditation, breath work, restorative and yin yoga, Yoga Nidra recordings, and other discoveries. Practice at home, the car, at work - even on the loo!

Starting May 2024. For those who have completed a BeCalmed Yourself 5-week series. Once we are calm, then what? What do we return to with each out breath? Explore flow more deeply. Includes some yin poses, meditation and mindfulness. By booking this class, you are booking and paying for FIVE CLASSES - Sundays at 4.30pm-5.15pm: May 5, 12, 19, 26 and June 9 (no class King’s Birthday Weekend).

Most of us are over stimulated, much of the time. It’s go, go, go. We just can’t maintan that state - we weren’t designed for modern stresses. Yoga Nidra offers you a moment away from full-on-ness and into a deep experience of calm: into the subtler side of oursevles. This is done by relaxing the body and systematically reducing physical and mental tensions. The brain shifts down a gear or two. Not only experience beautiful calm, but reduce your risk of stress-related illness. This special, ancient yoga practice is practiced lying down, listening to a guided voice. It’s not magic or woo woo — it’s a scientifically proven peaceful practice where you are guided to simply let go into deep relaxation. BeCalmed Studio classes offer an eight-stage Yoga Nidra practice. Classes are also available online.

Includes a 25-minute 8-stage Yoga Nidra practice; a 20-minute and a 7-minute BeCalmed meditation track; offerings on how to cultivate a better sleep; plus knowledge on the stress and relaxation response. Weekly

A delicious hour of gentle stretching, breathing and resting to cultivate calm. This peaceful forest studio class is suitable for all bodies and experiences.
